Use this warp and weft density mirror tool to count or measure the density of various textiles. With this instrument the warp and weft threads can be counted quickly and easily, after which the ratio or density of the threads in the fabric can be calculated. It’s an ideal tool for anyone who works in the textile industry, from buyers and sellers to dressmakers, tailors and fashion designers. To count weft threads, lay the tool on the fabric, parallel to the weft threads. A diamond shape is now reflected on the glass plate in the area with the lines. One point of the diamond indicates the number of threads per centimetre (scale: 18-64) and the opposite point the number of threads in inches (scale: 45-161). To count the warp threads, place the tool on the fabric, parallel to the warp threads. This warp and weft density mirror tool is made of glass. It is 6.8mm thick, and measures 15.8cm length x 5.8cm width. Supplied in a plastic case.
