Milward Shirring elastic 0.75mm - 5x20m

Milward’s shirring elastic is a thin elastic that you sew onto fabrics to create a gathering effect, such as smocking or puffing. You wind it onto a bobbin and slightly stretch it. You can then use it as bobbin thread in your sewing machine. As upper thread, you use regular sewing thread. You can also place the shirring elastic over the fabric and then use a zigzag stitch to sew over the elastic. Then gently tighten the elastic and secure the ends with the sewing machine or sewing by hand. The shirring elastic is 0.75mm wide and there are 20 metres on a spool. Available in black and white and supplied per 5 spools. Milward's packaging is 100% plastic-free and also fully recyclable.
