Cohana Seke Sewing scissors lacquered 21cm - 1pc
The Japanese brand Cohana offers products where quality, functionality and design are of utmost importance. All items are produced in a traditional way in collaboration with the best companies in the country from as many sustainable materials and raw materials as possible.
The sustainable Seki sewing scissors by Cohana is a wonderful addition to your sewing equipment. The stainless steel scissors are made by Hasegawa Cutlery in Seki City. The handles are finished with a lacquer that is traditionally applied by Ehara Lacquer Works in Nagoya. Lacquer is a natural product, originating from the Japanese lacquer tree. For example, it is used by Ehara for Buddhist altar art. The scissors are available in a red and deep brown colour. The red colour Shunuri is created by applying several layers of vermilion lacquer, a full, deep red colour lacquer. The deep brown, Tamenuri, is created by applying layers of transparent lacquer on top of vermilion lacquer. This beautiful handicraft gives the scissors a luxurious look. The smooth, glossy surface fits comfortably in your hand. The scissors are 21 cm long, while the blades are 8cm long. The scissors are carefully packed and are supplied in a wooden box, with a soft cleaning cloth and a beautiful leather case with a tassel for decoration. Available in two different colours. Supplied per 1 piece.
